As a healthcare executive, Joe Dorko wears many hats. He is president and chief executive officer of Lutheran Health Network, the region’s leading healthcare provider. He is also currently chief executive officer of Lutheran Hospital, Rehab Hospital of Fort Wayne and RediMed.
Joe received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duquesne University in Pennsylvania and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He has over 30 years of healthcare experience, beginning his career as a pharmacist. He moved up the ranks in hospitals in Pennsylvania and Ohio, including serving as CEO of Paulding County Hospital. He was chief operating officer for Lutheran Hospital for eight years before moving to the top post in 2007.
Joe’s community involvement is extensive, ranging from initiatives within the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Vision 2020 to his board roles with the United Way of Allen County, Super Shot, Fort Wayne Museum of Art and the Little River Wetlands Project, among others.
Joe and his wife Bev have three children and as a family enjoy running in competitions all over the country.
