Torrance A. Richardson

Torrance A. Richardson has served as the Executive Director of Airports for the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority since January 2004. Prior to his position in Fort Wayne, Mr. Richardson was the Airport Executive Director of the Rapid City Regional Airport in Rapid City, South Dakota. Prior to his work in South Dakota, Mr. Richardson was an Airport Operations Officer at the Dubuque Regional Airport in Dubuque, Iowa.
Throughout his more than 18-year aviation career, Mr. Richardson has built his knowledge of aviation by working in many facets of the industry, holding various positions with: Fixed Base Operations, Airlines, National Weather Service – Aviation Weather Reporting, Airport Operations, Airport Maintenance, Airport Management, and Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting.
Mr. Richardson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from the University of Dubuque.
Mr. Richardson is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.), a Past President of the Great Lakes Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), is Chair of the AAAE Airline Economics & Air Service Committee, Chair of AAAE’s National Airports Conference Committee, Chair of ACI-NA’s Small Airports Committee, Secretary of the Aviation Association of Indiana, serves on the Fort Wayne Community Service Council, the Urban Transportation Advisory Board, the Board of Directors for the United Way of Allen County, and is the Vice Chair of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
