The HUBZone program provides Federal contracting assistance to qualified small businesses located in distressed areas, or HUBZones.
The purpose for providing assistance to businesses in the HUBZone area is to:

Increase employment opportunities

Stimulate capital investment in those areas

Empower communities through economic leveraging and the “multiplier effect”

The HUBzone boundaries are determined from the 2000 US Census information. New boundaries for the HUBzone will be determined after the 2010 Census is complete.
