Fort Wayne, Ind. (May 28, 2009) — The Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance announced today that it has named Andi Udris as president of the organization. Udris will officially begin his duties on June 8. The Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance is a not-for-profit that began work in 2000 and is the county’s lead organization for economic development activities.
“We are very pleased to announce Andi Udris as our selection for president of the Alliance,” stated Jim Cook, board chairman for the Alliance. “After meeting and interviewing several highly-qualified candidates, we believe Andi’s proven leadership ability and experience in economic development will be an excellent fit for the Alliance and beneficial to its continued success. We are confident that Andi’s perspective and past experience in other markets will not only be a tremendous asset to the organization, but to the community as a whole.”
Udris’ professional background includes president and chief executive officer of Union Station Kansas City, Inc. and the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, director of the Department of Economic Development for both Cincinnati and Cleveland and development officer and program specialist for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Udris holds an undergraduate degree and a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
