Fort Wayne, Ind. (November 24, 2009) — Craftline Graphics announced today that it is expanding its Fort Wayne location. The children’s activity book printing company will invest $1.5 million in a project that will add 75 new job positions to its 3522 West Ferguson Road facility. Craftline Graphics will also retain over 100 current jobs. The project is expected to be completed in 2012.
“This is a significant investment for our company,” said Hank Freistroffer, CEO of Craftline Graphics. “We feel that this move will allow us to provide better service to our clients and will be a catalyst for continued growth and development.”
The expansion is a result of Craftline Graphics’ bringing to Fort Wayne one of the largest publishers of children’s activity books in North America. Craftline will provide the publisher with printing, warehousing and fulfillment capabilities. The project will consist of current building improvements, new machinery and equipment, retooling and new computer and information technology hardware.
“It's always good news to announce that a company is expanding and creating new jobs in its hometown. Craftline Graphics’ expansion is further proof that Indiana has a business environment that encourages growth in these economic times,” said Governor Mitch Daniels.
The Fort Wayne Common Council will consider phasing in taxes associated with the project. Craftline Graphics could save approximately $154,571 on real and personal property taxes over a ten year period. The company is also eligible for $24,000 in recruitment and assessment services and $11,000 in computer training services from WorkOne Northeast. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) will provide $370,000 in Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) tax credits and $120,000 from the Skills Enhancement Fund (SEF).
