Fort Wayne, Ind. (October 7, 2009) — The Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance will participate in the 2009 Orthopedic Design & Technology (ODT) Conference and Exhibition by sponsoring breakfast on both days of the conference. The ODT conference will take place at the Grand Wayne Convention Center on October 7-8, 2009.
At last year’s ODT conference, the Economic Development Alliance sponsored the lanyards worn by participants and joined representatives from the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership (NEIRP) at its informational booth. The Alliance has sponsored ODT for the last three years and located PearlDiver, an orthopedic informatics company, in Fort Wayne as an outcome of the 2006 conference.
“We have decided to continue to show our support for the Orthopedic Design & Technology Conference,” stated Marla Schneider, Economic Development Alliance chief information officer. “This event is an opportunity to showcase the strength of the area’s medical device industry and to connect local businesses and vendors with those on a national and international level.”
The 2009 ODT Conference and Exhibition will feature speaker and retired NFL player Leonard Marshall, as well as a keynote address from Robin Young, founder and president of RRY publications.
