Fort Wayne, Ind. (June 9, 2009) — GT Automation Group has announced that it will add new equipment to its 4422 Airport Expressway location. The overall investment for the project is approximately $180,000. The equipment is expected to be installed by December 2009.
GT Automation Group is a tool and die shop specializing in precision machining, repairs and maintenance, and the design and manufacture of automated production equipment, special machines, controls and metal stamping dies. The company was founded in 2003.
The equipment GT Automation Group will add includes a G & L CNC Table Type Horizontal Boring Mill, other CNC milling equipment and cranes. The company will add toolmaker and machinist positions, for a minimum of three new jobs.
GT Automation Group has requested that taxes on the reinvestment be phased in over time. The company could realize $10,870 in tax savings over ten years if the request is approved by the City of Fort Wayne. The request will be discussed at tonight’s Fort Wayne Common Council meeting.
