Fort Wayne, Ind. (July 21, 2008) — Heat Power Engineering, a company committed to providing the finest industrial water treatment products and services available in today's global marketplace, has announced its relocation to a new Fort Wayne facility in order to better serve growing customer demand for its products and services. Heat Power Engineering (HPE) is now located in a 10,000 square foot facility at 702 Incentive Drive, just north of Smith Field Airport.
“Our business growth has steadily grown over the past seven years and we simply outgrew our former, leased location on Brooklyn Avenue in Fort Wayne,” said company president Jon Hicks. “Since we service a four-state area HPE had several choices both within and outside the area regarding the relocation of our business, but in the end we chose to stay and grow in Fort Wayne largely due to our dedicated workforce, overall cost of doing business and the interest shown by the community to keep and grow HPE in Fort Wayne.
“This is good news for Heat Power Engineering and the community,” added Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry. “We need entrepreneurs like Jon Hicks to continue to lead the way in terms of new opportunities in Northeast Indiana. The City is happy to play a small part in helping HPE at this critical point in the company’s growth.”
Through its Division of Community Development the City of Fort Wayne is assisting the transition with an $8,000 grant. The City, in conjunction with the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance and other local economic development partners will continue to look for other ways to assist HPE now and in the future.
